Description
Pairing aristocratic detective Thomas Lynley (Nathaniel Parker) with his working-class partner Barbara Havers (Sharon Small), the British series chronicles the Scotland Yard duo's efforts to crack difficult cases while dealing with each other's class differences. This collection presents all four episodes of the series' third season: in "In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner," Lynley and Havers investigate a possible grudge-killing when the daughter of a retired police detective is found murdered on the windswept moors; in "A Traitor to Memory," a woman's hit-and-run death may be connected to her infant daughter's murder 30 years earlier; in "A Cry for Justice," Lynley and Havers suspect murder in the case of a woman's apparent suicide; and in "If Wishes Were Horses," a forensic psychologist's car-bomb murder yields a multitude of suspects, including the man's many mistresses.
